NAPLES, Fla. (July 16th, 2020) – Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A., a prominent Southwest Florida law firm, was proud to support a teacher’s initiative and fund a classroom grant project this past year through Champions For Learning’s classroom grant program. The law firm specializes in multiple areas of the law, from Real Estate, Business Law and Government Relations to Family Law, Litigation, and Trusts and Estates. It occupies two offices in Southwest Florida, one in Naples and one on Marco Island.
Headed by Partner attorney Lenore Brakefield, the grant was awarded to New Beginnings Immokalee. The grant was used to enhance the classroom experience and creates an environment for students to thrive. New Beginnings Immokalee opened its doors in 1994 and aids students in developing positive social skills through a structured behaviorally based program. With an average of 77% of students maintaining success in their studies following their departure from the program, those who have struggled in a traditional classroom environment can find balance in order to maintain their education and succeed.
The Champions For Learning™ grant program provides teachers with the help they need from local community members and organizations to better serve their students, setting them up for success. Champions For Learning utilizes funding through contributions from clubs, organizations, businesses, individuals and the Support Education license plate to help teachers create innovative learning experiences for their students.

Brakefield speaks about the Champions For Learning program and being able to support local education:
“So much of who we are stems from our educational background and the educators who made it possible. Through the [Champions For Learning] program, my hope is that students get to take advantage of opportunities they otherwise would not be able to participate in and enhance their experience in their studies,” she explains.
The President of Champions For Learning, Susan McManus, expresses her gratitude to Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A. for its generous support.
“Thank you so much for your support of teachers and students and leading by example through your investment in what teachers are striving to accomplish for our students,” she says. “Your firm has helped to create life-changing learning experiences for our students.” – Susan McManus
